Eden of The East- Anime Review

I heard about this anime not long ago at Anime Midwest in an underrated anime panel. I was told this anime was political comedy. I'm unsure how an anime can be political, despite the fact our main was found naked before the White House.

The Plot

As I stated before Akira Takizawa wakes up naked in front of the White House with no memory of how he got there or who he is. With a gun in one hand and a phone in the other, he suspects he is not the good guy but maybe bad. He also doesn't remember that if he doesn't save Japan he will be killed.

My Review

This anime is pretty political and mentions many things on how corrupt the Japanese Government is and how even with all the money worldwide it is hard to figure out how to save Japan. That is at least the message I get, but I may be missing somethings that went over my head. If you judge it purely on being an anime the animation is nice, the characters are weird and the story at least what I understood was engrossing. Eden of the East may not be a paradise, but it is strange.
